HUNingxia surprised me in the most unexpected way 🥺 I came with zero expectations and left with a whole new appreciation for this underrated corner of China.
One moment you’re driving past endless stretches of desert, the next you’re surrounded by vineyards, mountains, and the Yellow River cutting calmly through it all. No crazy crowds, no rush, everything moves slower here and honestly, it was kinda refreshing.
There’s no direct flight from KL so you can either fly to Chengdu / Xi’an / Guilin and take another flight/train to Ningxia, which also means you get to explore the other cities too!
If you’re bored of overly touristy spots and want somewhere quieter, underrated, and a bit unexpected, Ningxia might surprise you.
