DRCan’t believe I did it : I’m now Dr San Choudhury you guys ahhhhhhh.
I successfully defended my PhD thesis yesterday: the day I’ve been waiting for since I started my doctoral journey in 2020. Still feels unrealll!
To be fair, my defence was actually the chillest experience ever. It was mostly a very stimulating, intellectual discussion. They told me I’d passed as soon as I entered the room so there was no suspense at all ahaha
So yesss PASSED without any corrections - but lots of typos whoopss. They said that I could do them in a day but gave me a month anyway cuz they were like ‘I’m sure you have better things to do with your life’ lol
(I’ll definitely be doing them asap tho)
All that work, long hours, sleepless nights, coming back to it every single day despite not always wanting to: it was so so worth it.
I will probably make another post sharing more details about my experience, etc. But for now this is all I can manage to get out cuz I’m still on a bit of a highhhh
