SCA lunar eclipse occurs due to the relative positions of the Sun, Earth, and Moon, and it is best understood from different perspectives.
From the space perspective, the Earth comes directly between the Sun and the Moon during a full moon, blocking sunlight from reaching the Moon. The Earth casts a shadow in space consisting of two parts: the umbra (dark central shadow) and the penumbra (lighter outer shadow). When the Moon moves into the Earth’s umbra, a lunar eclipse occurs.
From the Earth’s surface perspective, observers see the Moon gradually darken as it enters the Earth’s shadow. During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon often appears reddish, known as a “blood moon.” This happens because Earth’s atmosphere scatters shorter wavelengths of sunlight and bends red light toward the Moon.
From the Moon’s perspective, the Sun is completely or partially blocked by the Earth, and the Earth appears as a dark disk surrounded by a glowing red ring formed by sunlight passing through Earth’s atmosphere.
Thus, a lunar eclipse is a result of alignment and perspective, where the same event appears differently depending on the observer’s position.

SOQuando vai ser o próximo eclipse no Brasil?
Depois do eclipse lunar do dia 14 de março, que, apesar do clima desfavorável, foi visto em vários locais do Brasil, qual será o próximo eclipse visível aqui, na Pindorama?
Então vamos aos fatos, sem enrolação.
2025
Em 29 de março, um eclipse parcial do Sol vai tocar o extremo norte do Amapá, com a Lua ocultando apenas 1,6% do Sol. Ou seja, praticamente invisível.
Em 07 de setembro, um eclipse lunar penumbral toca o leste do Brasil logo após o nascer da Lua, ou seja, também invisível.
Já em 2026, na madrugada de 3 de março, o noroeste do Brasil poderá acompanhar um eclipse lunar parcial, principalmente no extremo oeste do Acre. Nos demais estados, esse eclipse não será muito relevante.
Em 12 de agosto, uma ínfima fração do Sol será coberta pela Lua em Fernando de Noronha, apenas 0,74%, ou seja, insignificante. Esse eclipse será total na Groenlândia, Islândia e Espanha!
Em 28 de agosto, teremos um belo eclipse lunar parcial visível em todo o Brasil, onde cerca de 80% da Lua será coberta pela sombra da Terra. Como o horário será bem favorável, é um bom eclipse para ser observado.
2027
Em 6 de fevereiro, teremos um belo eclipse anular que toca o Brasil. Na maioria do país, ele será parcial, mas no litoral do extremo sul o eclipse será anular, com uma duração de 4 minutos. O melhor país para observar esse eclipse será a Argentina.
Em 20 de fevereiro, 2 de agosto e 17 de agosto, teremos outros três eclipses que tocam o solo brasileiro: dois lunares penumbrais e um solar, que serão irrelevantes.
Para finalizar, em 26 de janeiro de 2028, teremos um bom eclipse anular cruzando o norte do Brasil, passando pelo Amazonas, norte do Pará e Amapá. No restante do país, ele será parcial.
O próximo eclipse lunar total no Brasil será visível na noite do dia 26 de julho de 2029, e o próximo eclipse solar total no Brasil só acontecerá em 12 de agosto de 2045!
Agora é esperar os próximos eclipses e torcer para que o clima colabore!
