made in touchDesigner with RayTK. RayTK is the cats pajamas… if those pajamas had an infinite regress of cats wearing pajamas further patterned with cats wearing pajamas, so on and so forth. Paired audio to match. Tech: Slowly changing the X Y Z spread of a modulo3D. The sphere outputs UV coordinates which I used to remap the final image back onto each individual sphere. Using mipmap image mode here to keep the detail clean and smooth. Glow provided by step count output per one of the many useful tutorials on the @t3kt YouTube channel. Spinal. I’ve been trying to figure out how to start working with 3D fractals in @touchdesigner WITHOUT using GLSL (and I know @t3kt has tools to do it with #raytk ) but a fractal isn’t necessarily an intensely complex Mandelbrot expanse. It’s just a pattern observable at any level of scale. If you take a thing, change it a certain way, combine them, then perform the operation on the result ad infinitum you get a fractal. Hence these exist at all imaginable levels of complexity and simplicity. This just uses TD’s fractal SOP tool to create that repeated cycle of operations. In this case it’s a twist operation on a torus being iterated. My old calc professor would be disappointed at my complete lack of proper terminology, but c’est la vie.
