CAI’m just going to sit this here... for anyone who has lost a parent. It’s been almost 15 years. And it’s still hard. Certain songs trigger me. But the tears do become less... the memories still make me smile. The love never dies. And I still feel him. So don’t fret. They are still with you... and you’ll still know it and feel it 15 years later. WA29.09.2024 was the worst day of my life. I just knew as soon as I got that dreaded phone call to get over to my sister’s home as soon as possible as dad was unconscious that my dad was gone forever.
Losing your dad suddenly and too soon leaves an unimaginable pain in your heart. There are no words to describe how I feel and how broken my world has now become. I mean how do you just go back to normal life when such a big part of your life is no longer with you?
For now, as we put my dad to rest for the final time on Friday, I can only do so much as promise him that I will continue to make him proud, I will take care of my mum and sister and not let anything break us apart, and I will be the strong woman he raised me to be. That’s my promise to you dad 🤍
So this is not goodbye, this is until we meet again. Until then, rest in peace dad, I love you always and forever 🤍🕊️ xxx

One year today without you. I bet you can imagine how hard it’s been for us all to navigate this whole situation. One thing I can say is how strong we are. I know that’s because you gave us all the most important and meaningful gift a father could give and that’s GOD. You showed us your love for him not by your words but by your actions. Over the past year the lord has allowed me to meet / talk to so many people who you impacted, wow! At the end of our lives we don’t take with us cars, money, clothes or titles, we take character. You embodied GOD’s love that you transformed so many people along the way. I know that every chance I get I thank the lord for showing me what unconditional love truly was. I miss you, and now I’m going to be a mommy 🥹. I intend to raise my child the same way you raised me by telling our baby everyday how loved they are, checking on them and most importantly reminding them that GOD is the ultimate goal. You used to tell us all the time you didn’t have friends but that your best friend was Jesus and he was all you needed. Ohh dad if you only saw the amount of people whos life you changed just from your smile. I love you so much💔 as heartbreaking as this next chapter is about to be for our family I know that GOD will never let you go through a storm without holding your hand along the way. May you rest in eternal peace and may perpetual light shine upon thee 🙏🏽🕊️ ps. You are right dad, at the end of it all GOD truly is our best friend and to know you are finally with him brings me so much peace!
