The sciatic nerve is a long nerve that originates at the lower back and runs all the way down towards the leg. When this nerve is pressed it can send a sharp shooting pain and this can make daily functioning difficult. ➡️Most common reason for sciatic pain is a herniated disk in the lumbar spine or a bone spur growth. This can irritate the nerve as a result causing the discomfort. ➡️The sciatic pain can show up in different points. It could run the entire length from back to foot. It could also just be some isolated areas such as the lower back or piriformis or back of thigh or the lower leg. ➡️ It is important to first identify what is causing the pain. If the disk herniation is severe then it needs to be addressed accordingly. ➡️ Always remember to get diagnosed by an expert first. 💥 STOP Stretching Your Sciatica! ❌ If you have sciatica, then you probably have that tight burning down the back of your leg But the problem is not in your leg, it stems from the low back! So the biggest mistake you can make is continually stretching the leg, hoping it gets better Because a sensitive nerve does not want to be stretched, and this can prevent you from healing! So how do you fix this without stretching with the pain is? 🔑 The key here is to address sciatica at the root, which is in the low back! The first exercise helps stretch and strengthen the piriformis muscle to reduce irritation around the nerve The second one takes pressure off of your disc and nerve to calm down the symptoms in the leg And the last one helps directly reverse the herniation and restore your mobility to take pressure off the nerve at the source These will help you reduce your pain fast, but as always, you need a long-term plan! ✅ Want to learn how to fix your back for life?
