My tips for scrying: . Setting: seating relaxed in a dim room. Avoid direct sunlight, and preferably stick to Moon’s time. Flickering candles and incense recommended. . Breath: deep, effortless, and slightly faster than normal pace. Practice the witch’s breath (in for 4 seconds, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, etc…) and see how it works for you. . Implements: a blessed vessel filled with water or a crystal ball, or any other scrying tool. A fluid condenser, either oil or tincture (Proloquor anyone?). A visionary oil for the body. . Gaze: steady and unfocused. Notice, but do not perceive. Let images come and go until one remains. Maintain your breath, un-focus your eyes, and observe the whole of your vessel. Take it in like you would art in another word. Let yourself be overwhelmed by emotion and feeling and let your intuition guide the vision. . Repetition: repeat a mantra or prayer as you focus your mind and gaze at your scrying tool. This can help focus your vision as well as draw the proper spirits forth faster and more efficiently. . Scrying Exercise. I’m going to start teaching you all how I look at life. Today, I want you to practice scrying. If you aren’t familiar with the term, it is the art of divination through a reflective surface. If you’re not in this practice, I highly recommend working with water or, like I am, coffee, and not something like a mirror, but we can talk about that another time. To do this, I want you to find a calm, quiet place, ground your energy the best way you know how, allowing yourself to come to peace within yourself as best as possible. Close your eyes as you do that, and when you open them, look at the video. Feel, see, and know what you’re supposed to concentrate on. Then take notice of the first one to three things, write them down in the comments, and any feelings that you get. Tomorrow, I will come back and tell you what area of life theme you were doing divination on for yourself. #scrying #divinationpractice #intuitiondevelopment #psychicdevelopment #divinationwitch
