As an Officer on the Labour Rural Research Group, I'm proud to be backing our Spring Push on Farming Profitability campaign - here's why it matters. Our British farmers, and especially those in #NorthSomerset, are among the best in the world. They meet rigorous animal welfare and environmental standards, produce high-quality food, and are the backbone of our rural communities. Yet they’re being squeezed from every direction: cheap imports with much lower standards, unfair supermarket deals, and an unclear labelling system that stops consumers from making informed choices. That's why I'm calling on the Government to act on two fronts: ✅️ Honest Labelling - mandatory origin and welfare labels so shoppers can confidently choose British and high welfare produce ✅️ Level the Playing Field - stronger protections in trade deals, a reformed Groceries Code Adjudicator, and removing unnecessary regulation #BritishFarming

William tells us the strong message why you should absolutely consider the Management programme and recommends its benefits, both personally and at work. We are running an online session this year to learn more about the Farmers' Management course. This will take place on Monday, 23rd March, from 19:00 for approximately two hours.
