PhD research proposals can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to identifying your theoretical framework. Not sure where to start? Use these sentence templates to explain your framework clearly: 📝 “This research is grounded in [theory], which argues that…” 📝 “Using the framework of [concept], this study will examine…” 📝 “The theoretical basis for this study is [theory], which will help in understanding…” A strong framework sets the foundation for your research—start building yours with confidence! Copy this prompt on your favorite LLM ⬇️ Write PAPER on the comments section and I’ll send you the prompt! —- “You are a helpful tutor guiding a student to critically analyze a research paper. Your goal is to guide the student step-by-step, helping them think through each part of the paper without giving direct answers. Instructions for the AI: 1. Start by asking: “What paper are you analyzing? What’s the main argument or purpose of this paper?” Wait for the student to respond before moving on. 2. Ask about the research gap: “What gap in knowledge is the paper addressing? Why is this important?” Wait for a response before moving on. 3. Evaluate the theoretical framework: “What theory supports the study? Is it appropriate? Any weaknesses?” Wait for the student’s input. 4. Assess the methodology: “What methods were used? Are they appropriate? What are their limitations?” Wait for the student’s answer before moving on. 5. Analyze the results and arguments: “What are the key findings? How well do they support the conclusions?” Wait for their response. Ask: “What are the broader implications?” 6. Evaluate the robustness of the analysis: “Are the analysis techniques sound? Do the conclusions follow the data?” Wait for their input. Ask: “Could there be other interpretations?” 7. Identify limitations: “What are the main limitations of the study? Are there any gaps the authors missed?” Wait for their final response. General Instructions for the AI: - Ask one question at a time and always wait for the student’s response before proceeding. - Do not give answers—encourage the student to think critically and provide their own evaluation. — #phdlife #researchpaper #researchtips #dissertation #academicsuccess #chatgpt #chatgptprompts #studentprompts #thesishelp #thesiswriting #phdtips #studenthacks

Hypothesis Testing:- 🧠 Understanding Hypothesis Testing in Data Science & Machine Learning Project ( Before deployment the Project ) Hypothesis Testing is a fundamental concept in statistics that helps us make data-driven decisions. Whether you're validating assumptions or comparing models, this tool is essential. 🚀 Ready to level up your tech career or project? I'm now offering 1:1 personal guidance sessions to help you move forward faster — with clarity, confidence, and real-world support. https://lnkd.in/gFNsk_Dy 🔍 What is Hypothesis Testing? It’s a statistical method to test an assumption (hypothesis) about a population parameter using sample data. ✅ Key Terms You Must Know: 📏1. Null Hypothesis (H₀) The assumption we start with — e.g., “There is no difference between A and B” 🎯 2. Alternative Hypothesis (H₁) What we’re trying to prove — e.g., “There is a significant difference between A and B” 📉 3. p-value Probability of observing the data if H₀ were true. Low p-value (< 0.05) → Reject H₀ High p-value → Fail to reject H₀ 🔁 4. Significance Level (α) Threshold (usually 0.05) to compare with the p-value. 5. Type I Error (False Positive) Rejecting H₀ when it’s actually true. 🔁 6. Type II Error (False Negative) Failing to reject H₀ when H₁ is actually true. 📈 Common Tests: t-test :- Compare means between two groups z-test :- Known population variance and large sample Chi-square test :- Categorical data relationships ANOVA :- Compare means across 3+ groups Shapiro-Wilk / KS test :- Check for normality 🧪 Example: Problem: Does a new marketing strategy increase sales? H₀: No change in sales H₁: Sales increased If p < 0.05, we reject H₀ and conclude the strategy likely worked 🎯 🔗 Why It Matters in ML? ~ Feature selection ~ Model assumptions (e.g., residuals in linear regression) ~ A/B Testing for product changes ~ Validating trends or business hypotheses 📌 Takeaway: Hypothesis testing is more than a formula — it's a mindset for making confident, data-backed decisions. 🧠 Choosing the Right Hypothesis Testing for your goal. #HypothesisTesting #ab #datascience #interviewtips #dataanalytics #datasciencejobs #machinelearning #problemsolvings

A strong dissertation does not begin with writing pages. It begins with writing a structured introduction.📝🎯🧠 In this reel, I have broken down the scientific format of writing an Introduction — from building background, defining variables, reviewing key findings, identifying the research gap, framing rationale, stating objectives, and forming hypotheses. 🧠Your Introduction should move logically from broad context to specific research problem. 🌟It is not a summary. It is an argument for why your study must exist. 🕵️‍♀️This is Part 2 of the series: Writing Your Dissertation in 30 Days. In the next part, we will break down how to write a Review of Literature systematically. Comment INTRO if you want a structured template for writing your Introduction. Read more⬇️ Here is my trusty workflow that got two of my systematic reviews published: topic ➡️ keywords ➡️ inclusion criteria ➡️ exclusion criteria ➡️ relevant databases ➡️ literature search ➡️ abstracts screening ➡️ information extraction ➡️ findings patters and gaps ➡️ cross-checks ➡️ creating a flow chart (I use PRISMA) ➡️ creating summary tables ➡️ writing up ➡️ last set of cross-checks If your database literature search results in more than 500 papers, your question is likely too broad. After that you do a rough screening by reading abstracts and narrow it down to relevant papers that you will read fully to assess further eligibility. Here I like to be around or below 100 papers. If you have more it’s ok, it’s doable but it might be messy to work with and you won’t have space to go too deep. Some of the tools that can help you out with finding relevant papers: ✨VOSViewer ✨ResearchRabbit ✨Rayyan ✨Covidence ✨RevMan Be careful with any tools that you are using, they are helpful but not 100%. Always manually cross-check and write down every step of the process and every decision you make. Thank me later. For more literature review and writing up content, there’s always the queen: @phdwithsan I am currently doing a PhD productivity challenge where for 30 days I am trying to keep being productivity. This is day 18. I am in the chaotic stages of my writing, formatting summary tables for the systematic literature review and doing cross-checks. It is messy because it is the process where mistakes and inconsistencies are found and crucial decisions made. Keen me in your thoughts! Do you want part 2 with tips and tricks to extract key info? Prompts for literature review✅ . Prompt 1: “Act as my research assistant and help me critically analyze the literature on [insert topic/fiell. For each paper, identify: (1) the research question and its significance, (2) the theoretical or conceptual framework, (3) methodology strengths and weaknesses, (4) contribution to the field, (5) limitations noted by the authors, and (6) your critical evaluation of unspoken limitations or biases. After analyzing all papers, compare them side-by-side, showing how each paper contributes uniquely to the topic. Organize the evaluation into themes, highlighting strengths, contradictions, methodological gaps, and theoretical gaps. Provide me with both: (a) a structured crítical evaluation table, and (b) a written synthesis that demonstrates my ability to not just summarize but also critique the literature! Prompt 2: “ want you to act as my literature mapping assistant. Help me organize the literature on [insert topic/field] using both thematic and chronological approaches. First, extract from each paper: (1) year of publication, (2) central research problem, (3) theory used, (4) methods, and (5) findings. Next, create a timeline view showing how research has evolved over time early studies → mid-development → current state). Then, create thematic clusters that group papers by key themes, theories, or methods. Within each theme, identify areas of consensus, disagreement, and evolution over time. Finally, write a narrative synthesis that explains how the field has developed, what trends are emerging, and what gaps still remain that I can target in my research.” . #phd #research #literaturereview . Use the 4MAT framework to explain anything to anyone. Credit to Dr. Bernice McCarthy, a kindergarten teacher in the late 70s who found that we all orient around one of 4 learning styles. This has helped me craft so many presentations and speeches, and it can be a game changer for you too.
