This week we put the #RedSpirit spotlight on Keith Davis-Rutter @kjdr, a true @virginatlantic legend who dedicated 20 years with us as a pilot before moving into flight operations.​ I had the pleasure of catching up with Keith at our recent VS100 Awards on 23 January, a celebration to honour the exceptional contributions of our people and their dedication to excellence. Keith was rightfully awarded the prestigious Trailblazer honour, a recognition that speaks to his passion, positivity, and innovation—qualities that have defined his inspiring journey. ​ Keith’s passion for flying began at just 16, when he earned his pilot’s license before his driving licence. He went on to serve in the RAF for 17 years, where he met his wife Inga, also a pilot. They made a pact: if they were ever in Vegas together, they'd get married at the Little White Chapel — and they did! ​ After two decades flying with Virgin Atlantic, Keith’s career in the sky came to an unexpected halt following a medical issue while in New York. But Keith's contribution doesn’t end there. For the past two years, he’s brought that same pioneering spirit to our headquarters, transforming and digitising our flight operations.​ At Virgin Atlantic, the secret sauce, our unique advantage, is and always has been our people.
