I knew I wanted to be a doctor, but the traditional path felt like so many opportunities to fail.

For me, that meant starting medical school at 18 and seeing patients just 3 weeks later.
Traditional route students spend 4 years in undergrad, then 2 more years of medical school academics before they ever see a patient. That’s 6+ years before touching real medicine (and you will already be a doctor by then).
