Das Kabinett hat gestern die Novelle des Behindertengleichstellungsgesetzes (BGG) verabschiedet - ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zu einer inklusiven Gesellschaft, in der gleichberechtigte Teilhabe für alle selbstverständlich ist. Mit der Reform soll die Barrierefreiheit im öffentlichen Bereich weiter gestärkt werden. Zugleich ist es ein zentrales Anliegen, auch im privaten Sektor deutliche Fortschritte zu erzielen. Denn echte Teilhabe betrifft alle Bereiche - vom Jugendamt bis zur Finanzberatung bei der Bank oder dem Frisörbesuch. In seiner jetzigen Fassung weist der Gesetzentwurf noch Lücken auf. Ich bin jedoch zuversichtlich, dass wir im parlamentarischen Verfahren gemeinsam mit unserem Koalitionspartner tragfähige Lösungen finden werden. Unser Ziel ist klar: Barrierefreiheit darf nicht nur auf dem Papier bestehen, sondern muss spürbar im Alltag der Menschen ankommen. Ich freue mich auf die anstehenden Beratungen und werde mich mit Nachdruck für verbindliche und wirksame Verbesserungen einsetzen.

Unternehmen müssen gar nichts und selbst der Staat kann sich bis 2045 Zeit lassen, um öffentliche Gebäude barrierefrei zu machen. Das neue BGG ignoriert damit die UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention, zu der sich Deutschland vor über 16 Jahren verpflichtet hat. Der Gesetzentwurf wird noch im Bundestag diskutiert. Öffentlicher Protest könnte die Abgeordneten dazu bewegen, nachzubessern. 👉 Reposte dieses Video und zeig, dass du mit dieser Diskriminierung nicht einverstanden bist. ——— [Q1] Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales: Entwurf eines Gesetzes zur Änderung des Behindertengleichstellungsgesetzes, 10.02.2026 Videobeschreibung: Im Video will Adina in einem Laden Post abholen. Sie kommt aber nicht rein, weil sie eine Treppe hoch müsste. Adina sitzt im Rollstuhl. Sie spricht direkt in die Kamera, stellt sich vor und sagt, dass ihre Bedürfnisse eine unverhältnismäßige Belastung für Unternehmen sind. Das steht jedenfalls so im Entwurf zum neuen Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz. Demnach sind bauliche Anpassungen und Anpassungen an Produkten und Services eine unverhältnismäßige Belastung für Unternehmen. Im Video fordert Adina, dass wir gemeinsam laut werden, damit das Gesetz noch angepasst wird. Am Ende wird eine Grafik eingeblendet, auf der steht: „Wir brauchen dich! Werde gemeinsam mit uns laut: Teile das Video, damit Betroffene mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommen.“
