COIch sag’s euch… diese Zimtschnecken sind nicht einfach nur gut – das sind die fluffigsten, saftigsten, karamelligsten Zimtschnecken meines Lebens 😍 Wenn ihr sie einmal macht, wollt ihr kein anderes Rezept mehr.
Zutaten – Teig:
• 300 ml lauwarme Milch
• 600 g Mehl
• 125 g weiche Butter
• 125 g Zucker
• ½ Würfel frische Hefe oder 1 Pck. Trockenhefe
• 1 Pck. Vanillezucker
• ½ TL Salz
Füllung:
• 125 g weiche Butter
• 200 g brauner Zucker (wirklich braunen nehmen!)
• 3 TL Zimt
• 80 g Honig (schmeckt man kaum, sorgt aber für die perfekte Konsistenz)
• 1 TL Vanillepaste
• evtl. 1–2 EL Sahne (wenn zu fest)
Außerdem:
• 100 ml Sahne (für die Form)
Frischkäse-Frosting:
• 100 g Frischkäse
• 60 g weiche Butter
• 100 g Puderzucker
• 1 TL Vanillepaste
Zubereitung:
1️⃣ Milch lauwarm erhitzen (nicht heiß!), Hefe und 1 EL Zucker einrühren, 10 Minuten stehen lassen, bis es schäumt.
2️⃣ Zerlassene (abgekühlte) Butter, restlichen Zucker und Vanillezucker dazugeben, verrühren. Mehl und Salz hinzufügen und 3–4 Minuten zu einem glatten Teig kneten.
3️⃣ Teig zu einer Kugel formen, abdecken und ca. 1 Stunde gehen lassen.
4️⃣ Für die Füllung Butter, Honig und Vanillepaste cremig rühren. Zucker und Zimt einarbeiten. Falls nötig, etwas Sahne dazugeben.
5️⃣ Teig rechteckig (ca. 0,5 cm dick) ausrollen, Füllung daraufstreichen, von der kurzen Seite her aufrollen und in 9 Stücke schneiden (am besten mit Faden!).
6️⃣ Schnecken in eine mit Backpapier ausgelegte Auflaufform legen, leicht andrücken, abdecken und 20 Minuten gehen lassen.
7️⃣ Danach 100 ml Sahne zwischen die Schnecken gießen.
8️⃣ Im vorgeheizten Ofen bei 175 °C Ober-/Unterhitze 20–25 Minuten goldbraun backen.
9️⃣ Währenddessen Frosting anrühren und auf die lauwarme Schnecken streichen.

MUEasy Christmas Treats - Baklava🎄
⚠️ this is not traditional baklava, traditionally layers of filo is used and sugar syrup this is an easy version that takes 10 min to prepare.
1 x sheet puff pastry
Filling:
70g pistachios blended fine
20g walnuts blended chunky
1/4 x cup honey
30g melted butter
1/4 tsp orange blossom or rose water
Topping:
1 x egg yolk
Drizzle of honey
Some of the pistachios
Preheat oven to 180C
Mix all the filling ingredients together except for a bit of the pistachios to sprinkle at the end.
Cut your puff pastry in half horizontally and put one half on a bit of parchment paper, spread the mix over that half and cover with the other half. Cut down the middle and then in half on each side as shown on the reel to make 4 columns, then cut diagonally across starting at the corner of each column till you get to the bottom, brush with egg and bake for 22-25 min until puff and golden.
As soon as they’re out you may need to cut into them again if they’ve joined in the oven in some places, drizzle with honey, add as much as you want, they aren’t that sweet so you may want a lot to give it that sticky baklava feel too, sprinkle with pistachio.
