Texas Tommy, when done poorly, is known to create injury. Sometimes, as followers, we cannot fully control -nor should we micromanage- how and what a leader leads.
So, create your own safe space.
When in danger, or discomfort, take the initiative to make it comfortable and safe for yourself, even if it means to get off rhythm or break connection.
You have the right to.
The leads may lead and suggest, but it’s the job of the follower to interpret and complete movement as necessary.
It’s not interference if you need to protect yourself.
It’s self preservation.
