GPU vs. CPU — Comparison run between CPU vs. CUDA/GPU accelerated. Using OpenCV 4.7, Python 3.10.6, CUDNN 8, CUDA 11.7 on RTX3060 GPU, and Intel 4790K CPU. Notice, the CUDA/GPU program had a slight lag in the beginning. I think this delay is due to data transfer between the main memory to GPU memory. But once that was done, the CUDA/GPU accelerated program just took off and finished in 44.5 seconds! The CPU only program execution finished in about 2.34 minutes (still fast) since the original video is 4.65 minutes in length. #cuda #gpu #python #aha #programming #facedetection #machinelearning #artificialintelligence #vscode #docker #container #nvidia #vscode
