Here are three common myths people still believe — and why they’re wrong.
1. Myth: Anyone Can Hack Your Account Instantly
Most account breaches happen because of weak or reused passwords, or because someone clicked a phishing link.
It’s not an instant “one-click” hack like movies show.
2. Myth: Public Wi-Fi Is Safe to Use
Open networks allow others on the same connection to see or intercept your traffic.
This makes it easier for attackers to capture data you send.
3. Myth: A VPN Makes You Completely Anonymous
A VPN hides your IP, but it doesn’t hide your identity from apps, trackers, or platforms you’re logged into.
It improves privacy — but it does not make you invisible.
