Microsoft actually tried this first in 2018, proved servers were 8x more reliable underwater, then killed the project because you can’t swap GPUs on a sealed pod on the ocean floor. China commercialized it in 30 months. One pod warms the water by thousandths of a degree. Nobody’s studied what a hundred does.
