Oleh karena itu, pemerintah telah mengimbau masyarakat agar menggunakan STB yang resmi, yang telah mendapatkan sertifikasi Kominfo. Dengan adanya sertifikasi ini tersebut, STB yang kita beli udah melalui berbagai pengujian, dan memenuhi persyaratan Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) berdasar rekomendasi SNI.
