Looking back on our journey with Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 1 in G Minor, I am filled with a profound sense of artistic fulfillment.
Tackling this monumental work was a demanding yet incredibly captivating pilgrimage.
From our countless hours of refining symphonic textures to the intense, multi-dimensional masterclasses in January with Caleb van der Swaagh, Yi Qun Xu, and Wendy Sutter, we constantly deconstructed and elevated our ensemble dynamics with absolute academic rigor.
The fiery precision and shared adrenaline we brought to the Rondo alla Zingarese at the Winter String Chamber Concert on March 7 will remain one of the most indelible marks of my musical career.
Thank you for your deep listening, your artistic push-and-pull, and your uncompromising dedication. It was an absolute privilege to sculpt such magnificent soundscapes with you all under the direction of Prof. Igor Pikayzen.
I look forward to crossing paths again at the highest levels of music-making.

VIStarting a conducting exam without a conductor, it's asking the question of what exactly is being "examined", and above all, highlighting one of the essential roles of the conductor (before the arrival of the gesture), which is to guide listening in a certain direction, and to create connection and unity between the very individual listening experiences of each member of the audience.

FAOn February 4th, 2026, we welcomed the first group of students for the latest #FAMESInstitute orchestral adventure: Seminar 11. Divided in two courses, three mentors, three live performances, and dozens of rehearsals, workshops, and studio work, Seminar 11 marked a decisively successful opening to 2026 program.
Here, we would like to present the Behind the Scenes for part one of Seminar 11's, Daniel Rowland's course: "From Studio to Stage". In the span of one week, Daniel and the students rehearsed, recorded, and performed three pieces: Peteris Vasks' "Musica dolorosa", Richard Strauss' "Metamorphosen", and Philip Glass' "The American Four Seasons".
Throughout an intensive week of rehearsals and recording sessions, alongside a set of workshops and lectures, our participants developed new skills on the road to their professionalization. They delivered an incredible final performance at the Macedonian National Philharmonic on February 10th, 2026.
