FUDuring the Makeathon, I wanted to try something 3D... and thought about creating a fully interactive 3D globe on the web.
I started by researching how to make it possible, and stumbled upon something called WebGL. That was the entry point. Then I handed the challenge over to Figma Make, and after a series of prompts (and plenty of fixing errors along the way 😅), the idea slowly came to life.
The result? globe.figma.site — a dark-themed 3D globe where you can upload your own textures, play with lights, adjust rotation, and even export it as a PNG or looping video.
This was one of those projects where curiosity turned into experimentation, and experimentation turned into something real and fun.

I’ve been deep in Figma Make lately, and if you’re jumping in for the competition, here are 5 things I’ve learned about prompting that’ll save you time:
1️⃣ Attach a Figma frame instead of a screenshot when using references. (try using “pixel perfect” to get best results!)
2️⃣ Don’t stress about prompt engineering. My 5-screen app took 60 versions to get the vibe right so start small and refine.
3️⃣ On UI tweaks that you have a specific vision for, use this workflow: screenshot → cut + scribble on the screenshot in Figma → prompt with that image.
4️⃣ Making things stand out will require attention to detail, and refined user experience. Add custom illustrations & refine micro-interactions with additional prompts!
5️⃣ Focus on the prize categories: not just Top 3 overall, but also Most Creative, Most Innovative, and Best Prompt.

DESomething I’ve never thought I could create ever but Figma Make made it happen.
This is Ink It. The first online Chinese Calligraphy practice platform, built entirely with Figma Make.
Calligraphy is one of the oldest art forms in Chinese culture. It’s meditative. It’s expressive. And for most people outside of Asia, it’s completely out of reach (you’ll need the Four Treasures - brushes, ink, paper, and inkstone).
I wanted to change that.
2 ways you can go about using Ink It:
1) Mouse mode - write strokes using your mouse or trackpad
2) Hand mode - use your camera to write in the air, just like real ink on paper
Strokes not looking right? Toggle on ‘Accurate mode’ and the ink ‘snaps’ into the correct calligraphic path as you follow the stroke order. It’s forgiving for beginners, but still teaches you the real thing.
When you’re done, you can save your work to your desktop and share it with your friends!
What excites me most isn’t the tech, but the idea that a tool like this can make something deeply cultural feel accessible and alive again. That’s the kind of design worth building.

MAFigma Make is so much funnn. I joined
the figmakeathon and all submission was
amazing 🤯
Here are tips I wish I knew beforehand!
- Make sure make the design resposive
first before making the layer to a Make
Object
- Precise name layer will help you a lot to
call the layer and let the ai do the work.
It let you add logic to the layer
- It is possible to add music as well by
asking them to provide a link to add
music ;)
For this experiment I tried creating the
design and implement them in the figma
site rather than the Figma Make itself so
could have more flexibility to rearrange
them later on.

You know that moment when you fall in love with a bag online, buy it, and then realise your laptop doesn’t fit? Yeah. That’s what this is about.
This is just the beginning — a prototype I’ve been building with @figma Make AI 🤍 to solve a problem I’ve had too many times. Potentially (in the future) can be opened on any bag product page, so you can drag in your items (phone, lipgloss, hairbrush, laptop, water bottle, whatever you carry daily) and see if they actually fit. Visually. In real scale🪄
Very early days, but already feels real enough to share😊
