But checking into the Hyatt Regency Delhi and the hospitality completely exceeded expectations—this is the side of India people don’t talk about!!! This hotel only costs around $150 per night and is truly amazing!! As some background, I stay 200+ nights per year with Hyatt as and have the highest status with them which definitely brings some special treatment, but it far exceeds what I get anywhere else in the world!!! Spring break idea for families near DC — no flights required. If you want a real vacation without the airport chaos, this place surprised us. The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Maryland is about 2 hours from DC, but it feels like a full resort getaway for families. Our kids were nonstop busy with: ✔️ Indoor & outdoor pools ✔️ Poolside movie nights ✔️ Mini golf, giant chess & arcade ✔️ Tons of outdoor space to run around ✔️ Huge breakfast buffet (with a dessert bar) The rooms are spacious, many have balconies, and the whole place is super family-friendly. We loved it so much… we came back again in the summer. If you’re looking for a spring break idea that’s easy, fun, and close to home, this one is worth saving and sharing. How do I explain this feeling to someone who wasn’t born here? Yes, we’re all expats. But for Dubai-born kids, this is the only place we’ve ever called home. I have cried at the thought of people wanting to destroy my city, my home. I have seen it grow. I have seen it glow. I watched Dubai expand beyond Trade Centre. I watched people flee after 2009. I watched Dubai become a global hub for business. I watched us fight corona. I watched “habibis” flock to Dubai after corona. I’ve been here through it all. I’ve been to birthday parties at the Hyatt Regency ice rink, bowling at Al Nasr Leisureland, watching movies at the drive-through cinema, seen the first currency notes used as legal tender, learned Arabic from those green, blue and orange textbooks. I sang Eshi Biladi before Jana Gana Mana. So to the people who left their homes and came to Dubai for greener pastures, I understand if you cannot fully appreciate my sentiment. I understand if you think I’m Indian and wonder why I feel so emotional about a country that won’t let me call it my own. I don’t care about the politics of it. This is the only place I have ever known as home. And today it is under attack, and it breaks me to think that someone would want to destroy my home. I pray for the safety of Dubai and everyone who lives here. God bless us all. #dubai
