RAHyrox Miami 🌴✨
I was incredibly grateful to have competed here. I thought my Hyrox szn was over honestly until this athletic mom of 2, tht was only 5 months postpartum, reached out to me on IG asking if I wanted to partner with her for her first women’s pro doubles race and I was like LETS GO TEAR IT UP!! 😜🩵
I’ve been working on my running speed ever since last year when the speed of those 1Ks totally shook me 😂 and I was able to show up here and be fully confident tht I was so much faster.
I could tell I needed more work on the stations, which is not surprising as tht hasn’t been a huge focus for me honestly. Luckily, @kngdmsweat was way more comfortable taking more load on the machines even though the weekend had her still battling the flu, sleep deprivation, a massive headache, and all things that come with being freshly postpartum 🤪 My girl fought and I’m so damn proud of her.
The last video at the end is my favorite bc at the finish line Kirs looked at me and said, “I’m sorry” and thts when I hugged her and said “absolutely not. You apologize for nothing!” Even though we weren’t able to push to our absolute limits, there were so many things I gained here:
- A new friend
- Another competition under my belt
- More confidence in my running abilities
- A new city I’ve never been to
- Quality time with my big sis
