Starting with a 1km run 1- 1km ski erg 2- sled push 50m (12.5m x4 lengths) (102kg open, 152kg pro) 3- sled pull 50m (12.5m x4 lengths) (78kg open, 103kg pro) 4- 80m burpee broad jumps 5- 1km row 6- 200m farmer carry (16kg open, 24kg pro) 7- 100m sandbag walking lunges (10kg open, 20kg pro) 8- 100 wall balls (4kg open, 6kg pro) These are all the women’s weights, the men’s are heavier (men’s open are women’s pro weights but the men’s pro are heavier) It’s such an inclusive race as well it’s not just for super fit people who are doing sub 60 races, anyone can do this! Comparison is the thief of joy and all that. Ready to work so hard on running this summer and come back next season speedy (& still strong💪🏼). 3 mins off my pb but that’s okay, so hard to compare races due to differences in courses and I know I gave it my all. Here are 4 essential tips to help you move more efficiently and stay in control during the race: 1️⃣ Stay Low After the Jump Avoid standing up completely. Stay low and athletic after the jump so you can smoothly drop into your next burpee. This saves time and preserves energy. 2️⃣ Keep Your Feet Wide Maintain a wide stance throughout the movement – both when you land and during the burpee. It gives you more control, keeps you stable, and prevents unnecessary repositioning. 3️⃣ Hand Placement = Control When going down, place your hands flat on the ground with your thumbs pointing slightly inward. This positioning keeps your upper body stable and helps protect your wrists. 4️⃣ Use the Ground as a Mental Reset Burpees don’t have to break your rhythm. 🇯🇵 1 month to HYROX Japan debut 🇯🇵 HYROX日本初開催まで1ヶ月切ったので、5月のバンコクで私がWomen Proデビューした時のレポを書きます✍️ 今回は各種目ごとに感じたこと&失敗談も含めてリアルに纏めました! ※あくまで私の体感ベースなので参考程度に🙋‍♀️ 🏟 Bangkok HYROX Overview ・バンコクもHYROX初開催!Day2だけで14,000人以上の参加者! ・女子Pro参加者数は韓国大会の約7倍! ・ヨーロッパやオーストラリアのレーサー多数で初戦から激戦🔥 🔁 受付〜スタート前 ・受付は可能なら前日に!当日受付は激混み ・ウォームアップエリアで本番と同じStationを体験できる(※会場による) ・スタート直前でチップ付け忘れに気づいてバッグに猛ダッシュ💨 →会場に着いたらすぐ装着しておくべき 0️⃣ Run(1km x 8周) ・最初の1周が一番長い。周回の数えミスに注意。 ・モニター無し会場もあるので、Garminや髪ゴム周回カウントはおすすめ →私はSled pull後にミス😢(酸素不足で頭でカウント不可能) ・後半のエイドはRed Bullだった😅(後半のStationにRed Bull提供エリア設置) ジェルはポケット携帯推奨(私は2個)。 ① SkiErg(1000m) ・序盤で飛ばしすぎ注意⚠️(先はまだまだ) ・ダンパー4〜5で十分(Proの6にこだわらなくてOK) ② Sled Push(152kg) ・普段200kg押せても全然違う…新品カーペットは本当に滑らない。 ・ラン+高負荷での練習必須! ③ Sled Pull(103kg) ・縄の扱いが超難しい。ルール範囲(幅2m)を守りつつ引くのが大変。 ・私的にWBの次にキツかった種目(一番想定外) ④ Burpee Broad Jump(80m) ・新ルールで手足の着地が30cm以内ならOKに! →だからそんなに神経質にならなくて大丈夫🙆‍♀️ ⑤ Rowing(1000m) ・後半の息抜きステーション🛶(他よりはね) ・ダンパー4〜5でもOK。メンズProやコーチも推奨。 ⑥ Farmers Carry(24kg×2) ・とにかく置かずに突っ走りたい!(置くたびに手汗問題💦) ・チョークは絶対必要。設置場所がゲートの外にしかなかったのが辛かった。 ・Doubles渋滞に巻き込まれてペース崩壊😅 ⑦ Sandbag Lunges(100m/20kg) ・終盤、脚吊りゾーン ・膝サポーターやクランプ対策(ナトリウムローディング)大事 ⑧ Wall Balls(100回/6kg) ・ラスボス。全ステーション中ダントツの辛さ😭 ・練習で100回できないまま出たの後悔 ・呼吸リズムの練習超重要! ・Unbrokenにこだわらず、何回刻みが自分に合うか見つけておくと◎ 💬 最後に この経験がHYROX横浜(日本初開催)に活きますように🙏 質問あればコメント or DMでどうぞ💁‍♀️ 🇯🇵 1 month to HYROX Japan! Hyrox London nearly broke me. A little bit physically as I’d been pushing through a chest infection for weeks. But more so mentally. I felt heavy, slow, and completely out of my depth. Some people told me not to race. But I wanted to give it a go anyway. I needed to know where I stood. But looking back, it probably wasn’t the best of ideas! What I didn’t expect was how much it would shake my confidence? I questioned alotttttt: my place, my ability, my future in the sport. But I didn’t stop as I wasn’t going to allow it to be a true representation of what I was capable of! I rebuilt. I trained harder. I backed myself. I recovered well. And this season… I qualified for the Pro World Qualifier in Manchester just 6 weeks later 🥹 So, if you’re standing in the middle of your own setback, wondering if it’s worth it… Let this be your reminder to keep going. …yep, that’s how it went 🫠🫠🫠 I’ve got mixed feelings about today’s HYROX Pro Race in Hamburg. It was my 3rd HYROX race ever, and my 2nd Pro. Nope, I didn’t prepare at all, and nope, I didn’t have high expectations. But surprisingly, I felt much better than expected during the race. I didn’t struggle too much with the sleds (a big achievement for me lol 😅) and was holding position 1–3… until the very last exercise 🫠🫠🫠 the WALL BALLS. Clearly not my strongest exercise… I knew that. But I didn’t expect to struggle THIS badly. It took me 7:17 min to finish, which didn’t just cost me my target overall time, but also a few positions 🥲. If someone had told me a few days ago, “you’ll finish sub-1:07,” I probably would’ve said, “Yeah cool, I’ll take it.” But of course disappointment hits when up until shortly before the finish, you think you’re on track for something much better… Anyways, I’m trying not to be too hard on myself, and just be thankful that my body let me complete this race, less than two weeks after the (very challenging 😅) Berlin Marathon. I came up too quick, my feet weren’t aligned, and I ended up staggered at the top… which meant a penalty. 👉 My advice: - Pick the technique you’re most comfortable with - Practice it consistently - In the race, come up slower and more controlled so both feet are together before takeoff Sometimes it’s not about being faster—it’s about being cleaner.
