The Meatmen Channel just opened up their first restaurant concept that’s all about rice.
@ricekitchen.co takes up a permanent home within @rasaspace . The concept is an appreciation of local asian, where nothing represents us better than rice.
Classic dishes go through a thoughtful repackaging like the 𝗕𝗲𝗲𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 which landed traditional but the lightly sweetened rice cracker aided in a contrast that liven up the robust flavours.
For mains, my favorite was easily the 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗳𝗮𝗻. The broth had the associated clarity of flavour and yet, it comes cleaner; rendering it a comfort dish for me.
The night finished extremely strong with two dessert heavyweights. A 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻 and a 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗮. Both extremely well done, carrying local flavours that’s near and dear in a foreign structure.
The space is beautiful and the team has done an amazing job with the design, menu and setup especially given how it’s an integrated setup. While not all dishes made a strong impression, it’s definitely a good first showing with plenty of dishes I’ll happily recommend!
