Have you reached the state of samadhi? Most of my students drop into this in their first few days of learning to meditate with me. This is a state where mind is in such deep peace and filled with bliss that it spontaneously becomes still. There is no force required here. There is no concentration required here. It is a spontaneous result of the mind being saturated in bliss. I found one of the most efficient and most effective methodologies to get the mind into this state is through Vedic meditation with the mantras. if you’re interested in learning about this meditation practice, I have a free talk every week. On Monday I gave a private sound bath session to a book club of 10 lovely ladies looking for an intentional way to bring a sense of calm and clarity into their busy lives. We started by setting intentions - some wanted to give themselves grace as they were going through a major life change. Racing thoughts are common especially when starting a meditation practice. I explained how the sounds of the crystal bowls acts as a focal point for the mind. In my sound meditation sessions I guide you through deep breathing, positive affirmations and reminders to bring your awareness back to your intention. Many of you have asked when I’ll be teaching in-person meditation trainings again. So I’m excited to announce that I’ll be hosting my next two trainings this fall here in Mexico City (where I’m currently based). They’ll be held on the following two weekends: October 25–26 December 6–7 For now, these are the only two opportunities I have scheduled (I don’t have any plans for a teaching tour or additional retreats). If you haven’t been to Mexico City, it’s a direct flight from most major U.S. and European cities, very affordable once you’re here, and a spectacular place to enjoy a weekend adventure while taking your meditation practice to another level. To encourage decisiveness, I’ve included a deep discount for registering sooner rather than later. The discount will only be available until next Friday, or until all 15 spots are filled. My body eating itself - I’d lost so much weight my wristwatch slid to my elbow. But there’s no eject button in the middle of Antarctica.
