Do you agree with this quote? When I first started working out, I’m not going to lie it was to get bigger biceps, better abs and broader shoulders! I wanted to be like the cover models you saw on magazines. But as time has gone on (as I have got older 😅) I have really shifted my priority for exercising to be more focused on mindset and mental health. My morning exercise sets me up for the day, and gives me that POSITIVE mental attitude to be able to deal with stressful or negative situations in a much better way. The words on this post couldn’t be more true. If you are starting out and struggling with your fitness journey, or hit a stumbling block it’s easy to focus on the negatives. ‘Progress is taking too long,’ ‘you aren’t losing weight like you wanted’ etc… If you can shift that to appreciate the journey and recognise the small wins each day, you can turn that around and instead reflect on the POSITIVE changes you are making! It will make the process so much more rewarding and motivating. In addition, morning exercise can help reduce stress and anxiety. Exercise releases endorphins, which are natural mood boosters. Starting your day with a workout can help you feel more relaxed and optimistic, and can set a positive tone for the rest of your day. But you don’t need to replace your daily workout with a morning exercise routine. Even just a few minutes of movement can be enough to get your blood flowing and reap the benefits. A quick walk around the block, some yoga stretches or a few jumping jacks can be enough to wake up your body and mind. So, I encourage everyone to incorporate some form of morning exercise into their daily routine, even if it’s just a few minutes of movement. It can set the tone for a positive, productive and energized day ahead.
