The Orange County State of Education was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community rallies around its students. Hosted by the @ocdeptofed, the event brought together nearly 400 education, government and community leaders to reflect on student outcomes and the shared work ahead to support Orange County’s 430,000 students. Dr. Stefan Bean’s message about the importance of collective effort resonated throughout the day. Preparing young people for the future takes alignment across schools, families, industry and community partners. Through OC Pathways, we’re seeing that collaboration come to life across Orange County—connecting students to career exploration, work-based learning and real-world experiences that help them discover what’s possible after high school. The energy was unmatched ✨ • Exciting workshops packed with strategies we can use now. We were thrilled to participate in this amazing event, where more than 400 high school students explored their future education and career paths. With nearly 70 vendors, including colleges, technical schools, military branches, local agencies, financial institutions, and community organizations, the room was filled with opportunities and inspiration. Our favorite part? Giving students the chance to take the Traitify personality assessment, helping them discover their strengths and gain insight into careers that match their unique interests and talents. Watching their faces light up as they explored their results was truly rewarding! A huge thank you to the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation for hosting such an impactful event, and to Beachside Church for generously opening their doors.
