KA3 winter makeup tips FROM a dry skin girly:
1: PREP PREP PREP I can’t emphasize enough how important skin prep is ESPECIALLY in the winter- even throughout my routine I spray a hydration mist between my creams so everything’s super dewy (my favs are from @dalba_global @rhode @covergirl & @laneige_us ) and use a THICK moisturizer like the @rhode barrier butter or @weleda_usa skin food) *my entire routine is in my LTK
2: MELT YOUR POWDERS- the @onesize powder melt spray is my holy grailllll in the winter (the hydration sprays in the first tip work as well!) I think of this step as “instead of my powders continuing to suck all the moisture out of my skin, I’m instead moisturizing my powders” so my skin doesn’t dry out! *spray it on right after setting powder and let it dry completely before continuing!*
3: OVERALL the products I use are all “serum” like (ex: @kosas revealer concealor or @tower28beauty serum concealor or @natashadenonabeauty hydrating foundation) u will NOT catch me using matte products in the winter !! ⬇️

LIHere’s why your makeup isn’t lasting and your clients aren’t calling you back (and please pay attention to #2!) 👇🏼
1️⃣You’re not applying enough makeup.
In order for makeup to actually last through the day and night, you need to apply enough product for it to do so. Otherwise the makeup will oxidize so much that it will eventually just start to slide off the skin. So for my natural girlies, I’m going to need you to apply a little more 😉
2️⃣You are not setting the makeup with powders and setting sprays AFTER it’s oxidized.
This is more for the “eyes first” girlies. When you do face last, you end up finishing and leaving the client before the makeup has actually had a chance to settle. The best way to set makeup is to wait for the foundation to set into the skin, as the natural oils of the skin will cause the makeup to oxidize. You must THEN do a final touch up with powder and setting spray to lock in the end product.
3️⃣You’re not applying makeup in layers!
Think about it like nails: 2-3 thin coats of nail polish will look and last so much longer than one fat coat! Take your time and apply light layers of contour, highlight, and blush before AND after foundation for long lasting results.
✨BONUS TIP✨: If you want that flawless airbrush finish, I would go over the skin at the end with a foundation powder like the @onesize by Patrick Starr. This adds an additional layer of coverage while sealing in the liquid foundation. You can then set with another layer of Transluscent powder if your client tends to get oily 😉
