Dunk then begins to forge his own identity, commissioning a new sigil for his shield with Egg’s help and making personal sacrifices, including trading armor and selling a beloved horse to afford his own tourney gear. Pero comprende que ya no puede seguir viviendo bajo su sombra. Todo lo que aprendió, cada lección de honor, humildad y compasión, ya no pertenece al pasado. Ahora forma parte de él. ✨ Ese es el punto clave: Duncan deja de intentar ser “el escudero de” para convertirse en “el caballero que es”. Y ahí es donde la historia conecta con Aegon V Targaryen. Porque igual que Arlan lo formó a él, ahora Duncan será quien guíe, proteja y eduque a Egg.
