Adequate protein intake provides the amino acids needed for muscle repair, while carbohydrates help replenish glycogen stores that fuel future training sessions. Hydration also plays a key role, as fluids assist nutrient transport and reduce the risk of cramping and fatigue. Beyond nutrition, sleep remains one of the most powerful recovery tools. During deep sleep, the body releases growth hormone, which accelerates tissue repair and helps regulate inflammation. Active recovery methods — such as low-intensity walking, cycling, or mobility work — can boost blood flow, delivering oxygen and nutrients to damaged muscle tissue.
