DRMedicare traditionally does not cover non-medical support for seniors. But they do now!
Through the Medicare GUIDE pilot program, #dementia family caregivers can receive respite, education and training, and access to a geriatric care manager to help navigate the long-term care system.
This program is only for individuals on traditional Medicare (Parts A, B). It does not cover individuals on a Medicare Advantage Plan (Medicare Part C).
The seniors primary care physician must be an enrolled Medicare GUIDE provider.
This program is not offered in every state. So check with the doctor to see if they are a part of the program. Otherwise, you can do a Google search for the provider list.
