We will invest up to 195 million EUR into the acquisition and exploitation of #O3bmPOWER SatCom capacities from @ses_satellites, a world leader in satellite communications from Luxembourg.
For this project, we have teamed up with our longstanding partner in space, the United States @spaceforcedod.
The O3B capacities from SES will be contracted through the framework of a Support Partnership within @nspa_nato. Using NSPA as a vehicle for this cooperation will enable other nations to join this partnership and strengthen the resilience of @nato’s SatCom capabilities.
Together we will leverage the advantages of the state-of-the-art satellites operating on a medium earth orbit, paired with sovereign government gateways, which allow for global, flexible, and high-performance satellite communication. This project will further consolidate Luxembourg’s standing as a reference partner in the military and civilian space domain.“
