1. Shaving & exfoliating right before tanning Your pores are still open and your skin is irritated which can cause little dots or patchy or even lighter development. 2. Moisturising immediately after washing your tan off. Fresh tan is still developing for the next 24/48 hours. Heavy moisturiser straight away can slow down or dilute the colour. 3. Using 1/2 pumps per body part Most people don’t apply enough product. You need about 3/4 pumps per section so the colour develops evenly and dark enough. 4. Judging the colour straight after wash off. The guide colour rinses off but the actual tan continues developing for up to 48 hours, which is when the true depth shows. 5. Showering too soon after your first rinse. Your tan is still developing for the next 24/48 hours. If you take long hot showers or soap your body again too soon, you can slow down the development and end up with a lighter result #smallbusiness #selftan #tanning #selftanning
