All you need is:
225g unsalted butter, softened
115g granulated sugar + 2 tbsp for sprinkling
320g plain flour
180g chocolate button
1/2 tsp salt
Tin size: 8x8” (9x9” is also fine, it’ll just won’t need as long in the oven)

FLOWER SHORTBREAD COOKIES
1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vailla
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Food coloring of choice

Beat soften butter, sugar, salt + vanilla extra until light and fluffy. Stir in flour until combined. (I portion 1/2 the dough and mixed in two different food colorings) Let chill in fridge. Roll into teaspoon sized balls and form flowers. Bake at 350 for 9-13 minutes. Should make 12-14 cookies.

AMRose Shortbread Biscuits
Ingredients:
220 g butter (about 1 cup), softened
½ cup icing sugar
1 tsp rose extract (or vanilla)
2 cups plain flour
Method:
Beat butter + icing sugar until creamy.
Mix in rose extract.
Add flour 1 cup at a time until a dough forms. Don’t overmix.
Wrap and chill 30 min.
Roll to 1 cm thick and cut shapes.
Bake 180°C fan for 12 min.
Cool slightly, then dust with icing sugar.
Great for decorating with buttercream or icing as a holiday activity.

INGREDIENTS
Shortbread
* 1 cup (226 g) salted butter, very soft
* ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
* 2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour
* ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Caramel Layer
* 1 cup (226 g) salted butter
* 1 cup (200 g) light brown sugar, packed
* 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
* 3 tablespoons heavy cream
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Chocolate Layer
* 1½ cups chopped chocolate (about 9 oz / 255 g)
* ¼ cup heavy cream
* 1 tablespoon salted butter
* Maldon salt for topping
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 pan with parchment.
Cream butter and sugar just until combined, then mix in vanilla.
Add flour and salt; mix until crumbly. Press firmly and evenly into the pan (smooth with parchment + a flat-bottomed cup if needed).
Chill 10 minutes, then bake 18–22 minutes until set and pale. Cool.
In a saucepan over medium heat, cook butter, brown sugar, condensed milk, and cream, stirring constantly, until thick and glossy (231–233°F)- about 8-10 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt, pour over shortbread, and chill 30–45 minutes.
Microwave chocolate, cream, and butter in short bursts, stirring each time, until smooth. Rest 2–3 minutes, then pour over caramel.
After ~5 minutes, sprinkle with flaky salt. Chill 45–60 minutes or overnight.
Slice with a warm knife and enjoy

To make these shortbread bites cream together 1 cup of softened salted butter with 1/3 cup powdered sugar. Once those two are light and fluffy add in 1 tsp vanilla extract. If you have it, toss in the vanilla beans from one pod for more of a fragrant vanilla taste. Mix until combined. Add in 2 cups of flour and mix until a dough forms. Mix in 1/4 cup nonpareil sprinkles. The dough should look and feel like play dough. Roll it out between two pieces of parchment paper until it’s about a 1/4 of an inch thick. Use a knife to cut into bit sized squares. Do your best to make the squares about the same size. Let the shortbread dough squares chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 14 minutes. Transfer them to a cooling rack and let cool completely before enjoying! #shortbread #recipe #easyrecipes #recipeideas
