HOSavage Opress enters the Sith world believing strength will earn him belonging. He fights, bleeds, and obeys because he thinks power is the price of acceptance. In his mind, suffering is proof of loyalty, and loyalty should mean something in return.
But standing before Darth Sidious, that illusion collapses. Sidious never sees Savage as an equal or even a successor. He sees a weapon — useful, disposable, and replaceable the moment it stops serving his design. There is no brotherhood here, only control.
That’s what makes Savage’s realization so painful. When he says he’s not like the others, he isn’t claiming superiority. He’s admitting the truth: he was never given a choice. Unlike Darth Maul, his path wasn’t forged by ambition, but forced by manipulation. He was shaped into something he never asked to become.
