ELNot being able to sit in silence is not a good sign. It usually means the mind is constantly running, trying to avoid something that has not fully surfaced yet. When there is no space for stillness, there is no space for truth to come through.
This is why it’s so important to take the time to actually heal from within. Otherwise, unresolved chaos finds a way out and gets projected onto everyone else. Even avoidance can be damaging, because instead of engaging in real, human connection, you end up locking yourself away from it.
That’s why starting small matters. Simple practices create safety for the nervous system. Shutting your phone off at a certain time at night and not reaching for it first thing in the morning, something I’m actively working on. Getting sunlight. Grounding outside. Noticing what you’re grateful for and actually expressing it every morning.
These small, intentional acts are how you begin to return to yourself. This is where healing starts. When you can finally sit still, you create space to ask yourself honest questions. Through that stillness, awareness begins to rise, and with awareness comes the ability to shift the way you think, respond, and move through the world.
