He specifically requested a physical suburban neighborhood set to be built on stage, which was designed to physically shake and eventually catch fire to mirror the escalating tension of the performance.
To create a disorienting visual experience, the production team hired dozens of backup dancers to wear identical blonde wigs and two-toned suits matching the main character. These performers were instructed to mimic his exact erratic choreography, representing the fragmented pieces of his persona throughout the runtime of this movie.
