CSPresident Trump told reporters Monday that his voice was hoarse because he had been “shouting” during trade talks with a foreign country.
“I feel great. I was shouting at people because they were stupid about something having to do with trade and a country, and I straightened it out. But I blew my stack at these people,” he told reporters.
The president added later: “A country wanted to try and renegotiate the terms of their trade deal, and I wasn’t happy about it.”
He did not specify which country he was referring to.
“Why would I say that to you?” the president said when a reporter asked for details.

THPresident Donald Trump has announced all trade talks with Canada have been ‘terminated’ after the president saw a Canadian TV advert replaying Ronald Reagan’s criticism of tariffs.
The advert, funded by the Canadian provincial government of Ontario, quoted former US President Reagan, who once warned that tariffs “hurt every American.”
President Trump hit back on his social media platform Truth Social on Thursday (23 October), branding the advert “FAKE” and “egregious” and announcing that trade talks were “HEREBY TERMINATED.”
But the advert is not fake. The ad takes excerpts a 1987 national radio address by Reagan, which focused on foreign trade with Japan as The Independent’s Caspar Barnes investigates.
