ZOWriting Hack: Free Must-Have Apps for writers - save for later!
More of a writing tip than a writing hack, but here are some really cool, must-have apps that will help you focus, get your ideas down and stay on track. I know you don't need anything else other than a pen and paper, but this just might make your writing journey a little easier!
* Google Docs
The best free online word processor there is that also allows for real-time collaboration and cloud storage, annnnnnnd it's got super easy sharing facilities too.
* Hemingway Editor
An app that highlights complex sentences and passive voice in your writing therefore allowing you to write more concisely and clearly.
* Calmly Writer / Focus Writer
Need to focus? These apps are distraction-free with a minimalist interface giving you a clean and fully focused place to write.
* Scrivener
Though not entirely free, it does offer a free trial which is well worth discovering if you have never used Scrivener before. It's brilliant for writing novels and helps organise and keep all research to any project in one place.
* Notion
Brilliant app for organising your ideas, track word count and progress and you can customise it to however you like!
