SNMy team and I @snappcode_productions experienced one of the most amazing time shooting and documenting the final year medical students of AFE Babalola university..
Spending 3 days with these guys was an experience from the beautiful faces, the food, the session and we were showered with love and care and most importantly we made magic
I’m so glad we get to do this every year with them and the different faces we meet it’s just a blessing..

LAEl Grupo de Pasajeros en Defensa de la Estación Central insiste en que la recuperación del predio de AFE sea una oportunidad para devolverle su rol histórico como “kilómetro cero ferroviario del país”. El colectivo plantea que la terminal, diseñada por Luigi Andreoni e inaugurada en 1897, vuelva a ser punto de partida de los trenes de pasajeros y a concentrar allí los servicios ferroviarios.
El proyecto, presentado al Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Públicas en 2019, propone reordenar la playa de maniobras para que funcione como salida de las distintas vías de pasajeros y de los ferrocarriles históricos. También prevé una rambla elevada junto al viaducto portuario, pensada como paseo, y trasladar debajo la actual terminal de ómnibus Río Branco. Según un estudio de AFE de 2005, con frecuencias hacia Empalme Olmos, Florida, San José, 25 de Agosto y Progreso, el sistema podría mover cerca de un millón de pasajeros al año.

Current recommended management strategies include high-quality CPR, prompt delivery of the potentially viable fetus to improve neonatal survival and augment efficacy of maternal resuscitation, early identification and hemodynamic management of right ventricular failure, medical and surgical control of bleeding, lung protective mechanical ventilation, and optimized postresuscitation critical care. Case reports have been the basis for including atropine, ondansetron, and ketorolac in emergency kits and crash carts in L&D units to facilitate their rapid administration in cases of maternal collapse and cardiac arrest suspected to be associated with AFE.
The use of NSAIDs (eg, ketorolac) may result in worsening of bleeding or coagulopathy, kidney function, and myocardial injury. Ketorolac-induced thromboxane A2 inhibition leads to platelet dysfunction lasting up to 24 hours after IV administration, potentially augmenting AFE-related coagulopathy or bleeding from uterine atony. Similarly, prostaglandin depletion due to NSAIDs results in renal afferent arteriolar vasoconstriction, decreasing glomerular perfusion and increasing the risk of acute kidney injury. Finally, the detrimental effects of NSAIDs on myocardial recovery after ischemic events have also been described.
Atropine was removed from ACLS algorithms in 2010 because of the lack of benefit in the setting of cardiac arrest from nonshockable rhythms, including PEA and asystole. The use of atropine commonly results in significant tachycardia that may be detrimental for patients with acute right ventricular failure, as commonly seen in AFE.
The use of the serotonin receptor antagonist ondansetron is associated with QT interval prolongation and an increased risk of cardiac arrythmias, including polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (eg, torsade de pointes). AFE–related acute right atrial and ventricular dilation, acidosis from hypercarbia, elevated lactic acid levels, and systemic hypoxemia may increase the risk of life-threatening arrythmias in conjunction with ondansetron administration.
