If you’re looking to change, consider these alternatives:
Nutanix
- Software Defined HCI
- doesn’t require separate storage or virtualization software like vSAN and vSphere
Azure Stack HCI
- HCI managed from the cloud
- AHV hypervisor is included at no additional cost
- with Azure Arc, can replace vSphere, vSAN & vRealize
Apache CloudStack
- open source (if you’re into that)
- good for large scale deployments
- flexible, supports multiple hypervisors
Redhat OpenShift (or Kubernetes)
- may mean you need to refactor some apps
- tools like Konveyor or Tanzu can help migrate
- containers can be more efficient & portable than VM’s
Remember - every IT environment is unique.
There isn’t a one size fits all solution.

📌 توی VCF9 دو مدل اصلی برای ثبت و مدیریت لایسنس وجود داره:
🔹 حالت Connected (آنلاین)
همهچی اتوماتیکه ✅
– VCF هر ۱۸۰ روز بهصورت خودکار گزارش مصرف رو به VMware میفرسته
– لایسنسها بهروز میمونن
– آپدیت فقط با یه کلیک انجام میشه
→ این یعنی همیشه خیال راحت از نظر اعتبار و Compliance
🔹 حالت Disconnected (آفلاین / Air-Gapped)
اینجا دیگه داستان فرق میکنه 🔒
– اینترنت نیست، پس باید گزارش مصرف (Usage Report) رو دستی بسازی
– فایل رو توی پرتال VCF Business Services آپلود کنی
– بعد لایسنس جدید رو دانلود و دوباره به VCF وارد کنی
❗️ اگه این کار رو توی بازه ۱۸۰ روز انجام ندی → لایسنس Expired میشه، هاستها از vCenter جدا میشن، Workload جدید بالا نمیاد و عملاً محیط از رجیستر خارج میشه!
⚙️ پس انتخاب بین Connected و Disconnected فقط بحث اینترنت داشتن یا نداشتن نیست؛ بحث مدیریت درست، امنیت و آیندهی دیتاسنترته.
