XA[20.25 Apr 13] As the kids grow, it’s only natural that our involvement in their lives gradually shifts. Before that change fully takes hold, I’m choosing to stay close—by volunteering at their school whenever I can. Our playtime is so easily overtaken by screen time and work, and before we even realize it, the little moments are gone and the kids have grown.
That’s why this year’s Parents PLAY ON felt extra special—I got her dad to join in while I was on PV duty, and even managed to steal a quiet round of play with Vera at my station. Just a small window, but one that filled my heart and hopefully, hers too.
These moments are precious—lovely memories gently compressed into a one-minute reel, yet they’ll stay with us for so much longer.
