Here’s a better approach: 💡 Perform the slumps test to check for an irritated sciatic nerve. 💡 Instead of stretching, try nerve flossing: move your leg and head in sync to gently free up the nerve without adding irritation. Try using an ice pack instead 🧊 2. Don’t OVER stretch your lower back and legs. This can irritate an already-irritated sciatic nerve. Try using a foam roller instead for more targeted muscle release. 3. Don’t try to EXERCISE/Strengthen a muscle that’s in spasm. 💥 STOP Stretching Your Sciatica! ❌ If you have sciatica, then you probably have that tight burning down the back of your leg But the problem is not in your leg, it stems from the low back! So the biggest mistake you can make is continually stretching the leg, hoping it gets better Because a sensitive nerve does not want to be stretched, and this can prevent you from healing! So how do you fix this without stretching with the pain is? 🔑 The key here is to address sciatica at the root, which is in the low back! The first exercise helps stretch and strengthen the piriformis muscle to reduce irritation around the nerve The second one takes pressure off of your disc and nerve to calm down the symptoms in the leg And the last one helps directly reverse the herniation and restore your mobility to take pressure off the nerve at the source These will help you reduce your pain fast, but as always, you need a long-term plan! ✅ Want to learn how to fix your back for life?
