SYNC YOUR AUDIO & VIDEO 👇 This can be done using a simple tool called a clapperboard. The purpose of this small tool is twofold, to sync your audio and indicate which video scene you’re filming. But how does this tool help with syncing your audio you might say? During video production, you may see people using external microphones for audio. As a result of this, you need to sync both audio and video separately using what is called a clap sync. I am showing you the most efficient and proper way to do slating process to save time. Also the camera does not need to record what the 2nd AC is saying, because all the info is on the slate visible on thumbnail of each clip for the editor to read. This also lessens the amount of unesssary data recorded or film wasted on slating. The 2nd AC can leave out the words for Scene, Slate and Take as to save more time. In Europe we only say slate number and then use an ordinal number for the takes, US would be Scene number, phonetic alphabet word for slate / shot and ordinal number for takes. Doing this you save valuable seconds each take and so you can wrap up earlier or have time for one more take. ..... #filmtok #filmmakingtips #filmmaking #filmschool #clapperboard
