A dirlo è Alissa Starzak, vice responsabile legale e Head della Global Policy di Cloudflare, il colosso statunitense specializzato nella fornitura di infrastrutture digitali sanzionato dall’Agcom per 14,2 milioni di euro per non aver disabilitato l’accesso a contenuti pirata. […] Per il Ceo di Clouflare, Matthe Prince, l'intervento è “pericoloso”. Ma lo è davvero? «È problematico. Alla base di Internet c’è la resilienza e la legge va contro la sua logica. Da un punto di vista pratico, è molto complesso bloccare i percorsi che portano a certi contenuti». […] La risposta dell’Agcom: «[…] Cloudflare era da lungo tempo a conoscenza dell'uso strumentale dei propri servizi per la trasmissione illecita di opere tutelate dal diritto d'autore, comprese le trasmissioni sportive in diretta. A gennaio 2025 la società è stata invitata a partecipare alla riunione del Tavolo tecnico istituito ai sensi della Legge antipirateria. Cloudflare non ha dato riscontro».
