Now that I’m deep into my exam prep, I wanted to share 6 resources that have made a big difference in helping me understand the content and that I’ve been using daily to make things stick:
🍷 Wine with Jimmy
A YouTube channel and online platform by educator @winewithjimmy, designed specifically for WSET students. His clear, concise videos break down complex theory and make even the trickiest topics easier to grasp.
🗺️ Maps, Maps, Maps
If you’re a visual learner like me, studying regional maps can really help cement your understanding of climate and topography. I photocopied the maps from our workbook so I can draw over them as often as I need😅
🎧 NotebookLM
This one has been a game changer and is great tool for any audio learners out there! NotebookLM is Google’s AI-powered study tool. I uploaded my notes and the textbook chapters and it created mini podcast-style summaries for me that I listen to while driving or doing chores. It’s been a great way to revise passively. (But always double-check facts against the textbook)👌🏻
📇 7 Key Factors Flashcards
Using the WSET workbook’s suggestion, I made flashcards for each region using the 7 key factors: Climate, Weather, Topography, Grape Varieties, Viticulture, Winemaking and Wine Law. Keeping it simple has made reviewing much easier!
📖 Wine Folly
Ideal for visual learners! @winefolly infographics and diagrams are super helpful for understanding tricky concepts like winemaking processes or vine training.
📚 The WSET Textbook
Your most essential resource. Remember, the exam is based only on this book! So while other tools are great for understanding, this is your final authority✅

RSWhat did I have to do to get into MIT?
Obviously getting accepted into university is a multi-step and complex process, but the main things I believe helped raise my stock as a candidate were the following:
1. I took college level course work early (and often)
The availability of these courses varies from school to school, but to whatever degree you can, you want to have some sort of college level coursework under your belt by the time you apply to colleges
2. I had decent stats (GPA, SAT, etc)
I know this isn’t very easy to change, but the fact of the matter is that having good numbers drastically increases your chances at being accepted. Therefore, to whatever extent you can, you want to maximize your test scores too

And finally
3. I was involved in lots of extracurriculars
When colleges are assessing candidates, they’re not just judging based on academic performance. They’re also looking for you to demonstrate that you’re a well rounded and active member of your community, so even if you’re not athletically inclined, joining a club or other student group, and aiming for at least 75 community service hours before graduation can go a long way in raising your chances of acceptance

The name adenosine triphosphate (ATP) should give you a clue about what it contains! 👀
ATP has 3 key components:
✅ Ribose
✅ Adenine (a base)
✅ 3 phosphate groups
Don’t forget, ATP is a nucleotide derivative - a modified nucleotide.

Day 1

I just wanted to talk about my prep and scheduling thought process. Not necessary give advice yet because I want to wait for my score.
My residency requires us to pass Level 3 or Step 3 by third year. So I decided to take it in the beginning of PGY2.
I feel like PGY1 intern year is overwhelming and I was doing an inpatient block almost every other month so I didn’t feel like it was the best schedule for me to study.
However, I do feel like since I’m doing pediatrics the farther away from med school, it made harder for me to remember OBGYN, and Internal medicine.
I used @truelearn to study! Their #ComlexLevel3 was very similar to the real thing.
