VEOn the battlefield of Kurukshetra,

Dads - This isn’t some patronising answer, a consolation prize. She NEEDS you to keep her well nourished. Only then, can she adequately feed baby.
Breastfeeding uses up at least 500 extra calories a day (that’s what official studies say but I reckon it’s much more than that!).
If a mother isn’t well nourished, she does not produce as much milk. The same goes for hydration - it’s thirsty work, so keep those water bottle topped up too.
Yes, only mum can breastfeed the baby. But she cannot adequately recover from birth and fuel herself properly as well - Dads, your role is FUNDAMENTAL to successful breastfeeding, baby’s growth and lifelong health, not to mention mums recovery and enjoyment of post partum.
Look after her, so she can look after baby.
