Mah cualli xihualacan
We are Kalpulli Yolotzin Tlalli a cultural arts collective dedicated to the mental and emotional wellbeing of our community by creating and facilitating Intergenerational healing spaces for youth and their families using our Indigenous healing practices such as storytelling, danza, cantos, drumming, art creation, ceremony, ritual, and ancestral food making.
We are a collective of educators and mental health therapists residing in Riverside, CA, who have been practicing these ways for a bit, some of us since 1996 others since the early 2000’s. We carry this ancestral medicine from our lineages whose ancestral lands are in and around the Jalisco, Mexico Lago de Chapala Region. This is not a trendy fad for us, this is our lives work, our daily practice and connection to that which we hold sacred.
We are blessed and honored to be offering our medicine to the community in this way. Because these were the ways that helped us (those in the collective) feel rooted and purposeful in our camino. These ancestral healing ways are how we want to give back to the next generation, to our youth and semillas.

El maestro Santos de la Cruz nos enseña que no hay una forma correcta de saludar en náhuatl, sino que hay formas distintas en cada región y en cada comunidad. El nos cuenta que el saludo "Cualli tonalli", proviene más bien de una traducción del español al náhuatl, sin embargo, no por eso es descartable como saludo, porque hoy en día en la Ciudad de México es muy usando.
