Go somewhere quiet and ask the questions people often avoid:
“What do you want your life to be like in 5 years?”
“How do you show love?”
“How do you like to receive love?”
“How do you handle stress?”
You’ll learn more in 1 hour of honesty than in 3 months of texting.
2. The Grocery-Store Date:
It sounds silly - but it reveals everything.
How they budget. What they eat. How they treat workers.
The small things matter more than the pretty things.
3. The “Try Something New Together” Date:
Cooking class, pottery, beginner gym class, mini road trip.
You’ll see in their natural form if they’re playful, patient, controlling, teachable, or easily frustrated.
4. The Work-Mode Date:
Sit in a café together for 1 hour and work on your own things. You’ll see how their mind works.
Can they focus? Do they respect your space? Are they supportive or distracting?
These will be factors for when you live together and/or have to handle work that needs full concentration.
5. The Ikea Date:
It could be Ikea or any furniture store. Walk around the showrooms and talk about your future home. You can see how their mindset is regarding their living space. It will show their creativity, minimalism, functionality, convenience, and accommodation.
6. The Friends Date:
Meet their close friends. It can be 1, or it can be multiple. Whatever is most comfortable for you. They say your 4 closest friends are a representation of you, so their friends will reveal truths they wouldn’t tell you.
7. The Value-Check Date:
Visit a bookstore, Walmart or any department store and pick an item(s) that represents the other person.
It shows what they notice about you... and whether they pay attention to the little things.
These dates can reveal things faster than words ever could.
