As people have pointed out, Huron and Iroquois are colonial derogatory terms, they are actually Wendat and Haudenosaunee, my apologies ,l did not know. Given that Canada is the result of misinterpreting the word Kanata, it is also referred to as Turtle Island now with the rest of North America. 2. Kmt is the ancient Egyptian name but the current Arabic name for Egypt is Masr or Misr. 3. The correct spelling of Kemet is KMT. It was translated from ancient Egyptian to English by white “Egyptologists and linguists”, the more accurate is KAMI or KEMI rather than kemet, vowels weren’t written in ancient Egyptian so they added random vowels to kmt.

Decolonizing my meals was the first lesson I learned when I felt the call to decolonize my mind which automatically, decolonized my motherhood. I started this journey in 2014 when my son and I were battling dis-ease. Eczema, candida, acne, and confusion. I remember praying: “If the Creator made us good, why don’t we feel or look good?” The answer: Heal from the inside out. And that’s exactly what I did. From 2014-2016 lots of trial and error. In 2016, I found Dr. Sebi’s work and never looked back. As a mother and my children's first teacher, I knew I had to become an example. And coming from a government school and church I had to unlearn the animalistic and animal husbandry I had been under for so long. The colonized systems don’t teach health, healing, or self-mastery, which are the foundation of getting the mind out of the matrix so that we can eat to live CONSISTENTLY. Here’s how I decolonize our meals and teach my children to care for their temples: 1. Morning Hydration – herbal teas, water-rich fruits, smoothies. I water myself first. 2. Midday Fuel – a hearty, plant-based meal to stay energized and productive. 3. Light Evenings – sweet and savory salads that satisfy cravings, not destroy energy. 4. Balanced Living – when most of your meals are clean, there’s no guilt when you enjoy a family outing, holy day, Sunday dinner, or celebration. Food is spiritual. Food is medicine. Food is power. And when we reclaim that power, we break generational dis-ease.
